Economy and Society International award

International prize for economics and social studies awarded by
Fondazione Centesimus Annus – Pro Pontifice

In order to promote the knowledge of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church, the Foundation “Centesimus Annus – Pro Pontifice” awards the “Economy and Society” International prize to a publication in the field of economics and social issues.

Requirements
The prize is awarded to a work which stands out for its original contribution to in depth study and implementation of the Social Doctrine of the Church, is of proven doctrinal soundness and exceptional quality. The Foundation “Centesimus Annus – Pro Pontifice” wishes to honour works that can reach out to a large audience and are the expression of a strong Christian commitment in economic and social activities. The jury considers works published in French, English, German,Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

Periodicity
The prize is awarded every two years on the occasion of the International Conference of the Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice Foundation.

Amount
The amount of the premium is equal to €30,000.00. If winners were more than one, the amount will be equally divided among them.

There is also a prize for works of Journalism and Social Media which deal with the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church of the value of € 20,000 to be divided among two or more works.
