CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NEW SCHOOL OF BUSINESS & ECONOMICS
I am pleased to inform you that yesterday morning President John Garvey of the Catholic University of America has formally announced the creation of the new School of Business & Economics of the Catholic University of America (CUA).
The Wall Street Journal run a story on the new School in yesterday’s paper, with a particular focus on how they are integrating morality into their teaching and research. The story is also online here: http://on.wsj.com/THi5R4.
The collaboration with Cua is not new for our Fondation, as Prof. Andrew Abela (Chairman of the Department of Business & Economics and Associate Professor of Marketing at the CUA), and Prof. George Garvey (Acting Dean and Professor of Law at CUA) are both members of our Scientific committee, but today is particulary important because Prof. Abela and Prof. Joseph Capizzi (Associate Professor and Area Director of Moral Theology/Ethics at the CUA) are coordinating the project of the English version of the on line course in Social mDoctrine of the Church (started in the Italian Version last November 5th).
