Nuovo Chapter nei Paesi Bassi – primo incontro
CAPP’s newly founded Chapter in the Netherlands held its first meeting on April 3, 2014 in the city of Weert with the participation of the Auxiliary Bishop Msgr. Everardus Johannes de Jong.
The initiative was promoted by Mr. Thijs Hendrix, a CAPP member who lives there and has already gathered around him several friends interested in pursuing in depth study of the social doctrine of the Catholic Church.
CAPP’s Secretary General, Mr. Massimo Gattamelata, attended the event and on the following day, together with Mr. Hendrix, met with H.E. the Most Rev. Josef Maria Wiertz at his residence and later with the Apostolic Nuncio in The Hague, H.E. The Most Rev. André Dupuy.
Also H.E. the Most Rev. Gerard Johannes Nicolaas de Korte was informed of the initiative and het has reacted supportive to the initiative.
The prelates were very happy to see CAPP establish its presence in the Netherlands and pledged full support. They also expressed appreciation for some initiatives Mr. Hendrix has already started working on, moved by a truly exemplary Catholic spirit of solidarity.
