Press conference announces the winners of the Award’s 2nd edition

On Thursday 26 February 2015 at 11.30 a.m. at the press conference that took place in the Holy See Press Office (John Paul II Hall), the name has been announced of the winner of the second biennial international “Economy and Society” award presented by the Centesimus Annus – Pro Pontifice Foundation to extend knowledge of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church.

The winner is the book “FINANCE: UN REGARD CHRÉTIEN. De la banque médiévale à la mondialisation financière” by Pierre de Lauzun (Publ. Embrasure, 2013)

The winners of the special section for young researchers in the Social Doctrine of the Church are: 

  • Arturo Bellocq Montano, with his study on “La Doctrina Social de la Iglesia. Qué es y qué no es”, Valencia, Edicep 2012.
  • Alexander Stummvoll, with his study “A Living Tradition. The Holy See, Catholic Social Doctrine, and Global Politics, 1965-2000”.
