February 20th, 2024: Workshop on “Living, Implementing, and Teaching Catholic Social Thought” and Event Italian Embassy in London

In February 2024 the UK Chapter organised three events coinciding with the visit of President Anna Maria Tarantola and Secretary General Oliver Galea.

Forty members, friends and stakeholders of the organisation, including UK Chairman Lord Brennan and Board Member Francesco Vanni d’Archirafi, attended an afternoon workshop organised by UK Coordinator Jean Pierre Casey on Living, Teaching and Implementing Catholic Social Thought.

Speakers included leaders and experts in Catholic Social Thought including Lord Glasman, Dr Philip Booth, Prof. Adrian Pabst, Jenny Sinclair, Edward Hadas and Raymond Friel.

Following the workshop, UK Vice Chairman Marco Gubitosi organised a splendid reception at the Italian Embassy, attended by some eighty business leaders. President Tarantola gave a keynote address on the purpose and mission of the Fondazione, after a warm welcome from His Excellency Ambassador Inigo Lambertini.

The following morning Archbishop John Wilson welcomed members of the group for a working breakfast to discuss the priorities of the Fondazione and the activities of the UK Chapter.
